Why play?

At Make Time 2 Play, we believe play is an essential part of growing up. Through play, children develop important life skills that help them thrive both physically and emotionally. Whether it’s running around outside, pretending to be superheroes, or creating their own artwork, each type of play brings something special to their development.

Physical play keeps kids active and healthy, while imaginative play helps them explore and express their feelings. Creative play allows children to unleash their imagination, and playing with others teaches them how to make friends, share, and communicate. Play also encourages curiosity, giving children the confidence to ask questions and explore the world around them.

Most importantly, play provides a safe space for children to take risks, learn boundaries, and grow. That’s why we are passionate about making sure every child has time to play!

Play idea of the day

Potato Printing

SUITABLE FOR AGES 5+

The perfect rainy day activity! All you need are some potatoes, paints and some paper, then you are ready to create a masterpiece. It will be best for you to cut out the shapes in the potatoes for your child as you will need a sharp knife for this part. You can keep the shapes simple, like a square, or make them a bit more complicated, like a star, depending on how confident you feel! It is best to cut a potato in half and then cut a shape out of each half. Once this is done, put some paint into small saucers and see what wonderful pictures your child can create with the shapes you have made for them!
