Snake in the gutter

SUITABLE FOR AGES 5+

At least 3 children start as the snakes. Have the snakes form a 'gutter' by lining up with a wide space between them, facing the other children who are a distance away from the snakes. To start the game someone calls out 'snakes in the gutter' and the children have to run through to the other side of the line without being caught. Those who are caught become snakes and the game continues until everyone is caught.
