Place the children in pairs and form a circle so that one member of the pair stands in front of the other with both facing the centre of the circle. On the command ‘ready’ the player behind jumps onto their partner ‘piggy back’ style. On the command ‘heffalumps’ the player behind jumps off, runs around the circle and then jumps back on again. The last pair to do this in each round is knocked out.
