One child has to be Mr Crocodile and the other children form a row a few metres away, saying: “Please, Mr Crocodile, can we cross your golden river?” Mr Crocodile, facing away from the row of children, then replies with something like: “Only if you’re wearing red.”_x000D_
If you are wearing red, you take one stop forward safely. _x000D_
Then again, the children ask “Please, Mr Crocodile, can we cross your golden river?”, another reply could be, “only if you’re name as an ‘E’ in it”, then those children can take a step forward. _x000D_
This carries on until Mr Crocodile replies “only if you’re feeling brave enough”. When this happens all of the children can run from where they are to the safe spot (which is where Mr Crocodile is stood), Mr Crocodile can turn around and tries to tag as many people as possible before they get to the safe spot. _x000D_
Everyone tagged is now out, those who got to the safe spot go back to the start line and they play again. Play continues until everyone has been tagged or Mr Crocodile isn’t able to tag anyone and then the first person who got to the safe spot is Mr Crocodile.
