A great way to learn spellings – and all you need is a pen and paper! Make the words harder for older children and easier for younger ones. Draw dashes on a page representing the letters of the word, the guesser then says a letter of the alphabet. If that letter is in the word the letter is written on the corresponding dash, if not one line of the hangman is drawn, keep going until the word is guessed or the hangman is complete to determine the winner and the loser.
